Performance Standards​

Adjustment​

Standard: Garage doors, as with any exterior door, will require periodical adjustment.

Coverage: During the Limited Warranty period Classic will adjust doors that require adjustment, if the adjustment is due to a defect with the original installation of the door.

Light and Weather Entry​

Standard: Garage overhead doors cannot be airtight. Some light will be visible around the edges and across the top of the door. Weather conditions may result in some precipitation entering around the door as well as some dust, especially until most homes in the community have landscaping installed.

Coverage: Light and blowing snow or rain entering the garage door is not covered by this Limited Warranty.

Sag​

Standard: The garage door may sag slightly due to its weight and span even under normal conditions.

Coverage: Slight sag is a normal condition.

What's Not Covered​

The following are excluded from warranty coverage:

  • Light and weather entry - Light and blowing snow or rain entering the garage door is not covered by this Limited Warranty
  • Garage door openers installed by Classic - These are Consumer Products and are excluded from this Limited Warranty
  • Damage from openers not installed by Classic - Classic will not repair damages associated with the installation of a door opener that was not installed by Classic during the construction of the home
  • Adjustments not due to an original installation defect - Periodic adjustment is a normal maintenance need

Filing a Claim​

If you believe you have a warranty issue:

  1. Confirm the door has been maintained per the lubrication and hardware guidelines
  2. Determine whether the adjustment need stems from a defect with the original installation
  3. Request Service
