Performance Standards
Jack Positioning
Standard: Phone jacks must be positioned so that a wall phone can be installed.
Coverage: During the Limited Warranty period Classic Homes will correct jacks if they are positioned so that a wall phone cannot be installed. For instance, if a kitchen phone outlet is positioned too close to a cabinet or countertop backsplash and prevents a wall phone from being connected, Classic Homes will address this issue.
Phone Wiring
Standard: Phone wiring from the phone service box into the home must perform as intended.
Coverage: During the Limited Warranty Period, Classic will repair wiring that does not perform as intended from the phone service box into the home. The phone provider for your home is responsible for the wiring to the phone service box.
What's Not Covered
The following are excluded from warranty coverage:
- Wiring to the phone service box - The phone provider for your home is responsible for this wiring
- Initiating phone service - Homeowner responsibility
- Additions to phone service - Homeowner responsibility
- Moving phone jacks for decorating purposes or convenience - Homeowner responsibility
Filing a Claim
If you believe you have a warranty issue:
- Confirm the problem is with a jack position or with wiring from the phone service box into the home
- Note the affected jack locations
- Request Service
