Performance Standards

Condensation and Resulting Damage

Standard: Condensation results from weather conditions and a family's lifestyle, factors over which Classic has no control.

Coverage: This Limited Warranty coverage excludes condensation and damages caused by the condensation unless the damages are a direct result of a construction defect covered by this Limited Warranty.

What's Not Covered

The following are excluded from warranty coverage:

  • Condensation - Results from weather conditions and a family's lifestyle
  • Damage caused by condensation - Excluded unless the damages are a direct result of a construction defect covered by this Limited Warranty
  • Humidifier installation or usage damage - Classic does not install humidifiers and is not responsible for damages due to installation or improper usage of a humidifier

Filing a Claim

If you believe you have a warranty issue:

  1. Reduce indoor humidity first - condensation forming on windows indicates too much humidity inside the home, not a problem with the window or its installation
  2. If you believe the damage is a direct result of a construction defect covered by this Limited Warranty, document the affected areas
  3. Request Service

Care Tips: See Condensation Use & Care for maintenance and troubleshooting guidance.
