Performance Standards​

Active Components​

Standard: Active ventilation components (for example, exhaust fans) are addressed under the appropriate headings.

Coverage: Classic Homes warranty guidelines for active components are discussed under the appropriate headings (such as electrical systems, heating system, and so on).

Ventilation Issues​

Standard: Beyond the active component sections, ventilation performance depends on homeowner habits and home operation.

Coverage: Ventilation or ventilation issues, unless they result from a defect in the construction of the home or from the installation of a Humidifier, are excluded from this Limited Warranty.

Bath Exhaust Fan Condensation​

Standard: During periods of extreme cold you may experience condensation that forms on the inside of the venting for the bath exhaust fans. When this condensation forms, it may drip through the fan into the bathroom.

Coverage: Since this is due to condensation, it is excluded from this Limited Warranty.

What's Not Covered​

The following are excluded from warranty coverage:

  • General ventilation issues - Unless they result from a defect in the construction of the home or from the installation of a Humidifier
  • Condensation dripping through bath exhaust fans - Occurs during periods of extreme cold and is due to condensation

Filing a Claim​

If you believe you have a warranty issue:

  1. Determine whether the issue involves an active component (see Electrical or Heating Systems)
  2. Consider whether the issue results from a defect in construction or the installation of a Humidifier
  3. Request Service
