Performance Standards

Orientation Inspection

Standard: Railings must be free of installation defects at the Final Walkthrough/Orientation.

Coverage: During the Final Walkthrough/Orientation Classic will confirm that there are no defects in the installation of the railings.

Installation

Standard: Railings must be properly installed.

Coverage: During the Limited Warranty period Classic will repair railings that are not properly installed.

What's Not Covered

The following are excluded from warranty coverage:

  • Stain color variations - Due to wood grain, stained railings will have variations in the color of the stain
  • Seams - Some railings will have seams due to combining several components to complete the railing
  • Relocation requests - Classic installs railings in positions and locations to comply with applicable building codes, and they will not be relocated to accommodate the Homeowner

Filing a Claim

If you believe you have a warranty issue:

  1. Check if the issue was noted on your Final Walkthrough/Orientation form
  2. Note the affected railing locations
  3. Request Service
