Due to the effect humidifiers can have on the home, Classic Homes does not install humidifiers in the homes we build. Any humidifier installed in the home is installed at the discretion of the Homeowner and must be installed after the original closing date for the home.

Performance Standards

Homeowner-Installed Humidifiers

Standard: Classic Homes does not install humidifiers. Any humidifier installed in the home is installed at the discretion of the Homeowner and must be installed after the original closing date for the home.

Coverage: Classic is not responsible for damages, including condensation or mold growth, that are associated with improper installation or usage of a humidifier.

What's Not Covered

The following are excluded from warranty coverage:

  • Humidifiers - Classic Homes does not install humidifiers; any humidifier is installed at the Homeowner's discretion after the original closing date
  • Damages associated with a humidifier - Classic is not responsible for damages, including condensation or mold growth, associated with improper installation or usage of a humidifier

Filing a Claim

If you believe you have a warranty issue:

  1. Note that humidifiers and any damages associated with their improper installation or usage are excluded from this Limited Warranty
  2. For related concerns not caused by a humidifier, identify the affected component (heating system, condensation, flooring)
  3. Request Service
