Alarm Wiring

Standard: The original alarm system pre-wiring should perform as intended.

Coverage: During the Limited Warranty Period, Classic will repair wiring that does not perform as intended for the alarm system, as long as the original wiring was not modified during installation of homeowner-purchased alarm products.

What's Not Covered

The following are excluded from warranty coverage:

  • Modified wiring - Wiring that was modified during installation of homeowner-purchased alarm products is not covered
  • Protection guarantees - Classic makes no representation that the alarm system will provide the protection for which it is installed or intended

Filing a Claim

If you believe you have a warranty issue:

  1. First check your GFCI outlet - a tripped GFCI could be the reason the alarm system is not working
  2. Confirm the original wiring has not been modified
  3. Request Service
