Performance Standards
Orientation Inspection
Standard: Carpet should be properly installed with no defects at the Final Walkthrough/Orientation.
Coverage: During the Final Walkthrough/Orientation, Classic will confirm that your carpet is properly installed with no defects. Classic will correct stains or spots listed on the Final Walkthrough/Orientation Form by cleaning, patching, or replacement. Classic is not responsible for dye lot (color) variations if replacements are made.
Seams
Standard: Carpet seams will be visible; seams should not become loose as a result of a defect with the original installation.
Coverage: While Classic does not warrant carpet seams, during the Limited Warranty Period Classic will repair seams that become loose as a result of a defect with the original installation.
What's Not Covered
The following are excluded from warranty coverage:
- Visible carpet seams - Carpet seams will be visible and are excluded from this Limited Warranty
- Dye lot (color) variations - Classic is not responsible for color variations if replacements are made
- Stains or spots not listed on the Final Walkthrough/Orientation Form
Filing a Claim
If you believe you have a warranty issue:
- Check whether the stain or spot was listed on your Final Walkthrough/Orientation Form
- For loose seams, note the location - coverage applies to seams that become loose from an original installation defect
