Water Entering the Basement

Standard: Although Classic makes every effort to assure a dry basement, during times of excessive moisture you may notice some dampness.

Coverage: During the Limited Warranty Period Classic will correct conditions that allow actual water to enter the basement, unless the cause is improper installation of landscaping or failure to adequately maintain drainage.

What's Not Covered

The following are excluded from warranty coverage:

  • Water entry caused by improper installation of landscaping - Homeowner responsibility
  • Water entry caused by failure to adequately maintain drainage - Careful maintenance of positive drainage is the homeowner's responsibility

Filing a Claim

If you believe you have a warranty issue:

  1. Confirm that landscaping is properly installed and positive drainage has been maintained
  2. Document where actual water is entering the basement
  3. Request Service

Care Tips: See Dampproofing Use & Care for maintenance and troubleshooting guidance.
