Performance Standards​

Orientation Inspection​

Standard: All cabinets and cabinet components should be installed properly with no defects or cosmetic damage.

Coverage: During the Final Walkthrough/Orientation, Classic will confirm that all cabinets and cabinet components are installed properly and that there are no defects or cosmetic damage. Classic will repair only those defects or cosmetic items that are listed on the Final Walkthrough/Orientation Form.

Alignment​

Standard: Doors, drawer fronts, and handles should be level and even.

Coverage: Classic will repair any items that are visibly out of level or do not function properly during the Limited Warranty period.

Separations​

Standard: Gaps between cabinets and the ceiling, or between cabinets and the walls, should not exceed 1/8 inch.

Coverage: During the first year of the Limited Warranty Period, Classic will correct or repair gaps exceeding 1/8 inch by caulking or other means. After the first year, it is the homeowner's responsibility to caulk these areas.

Warping​

Standard: Doors and drawer fronts should not warp in excess of 1/4 inch within 24 inches.

Coverage: If doors or drawer fronts warp in excess of 1/4 inch within 24 inches during the Limited Warranty period, Classic will correct this by adjustment or replacement.

What's Not Covered​

The following are excluded from warranty coverage:

  • Wood grain and color variations - Readily noticeable variations in wood grain and color are normal in all wood or wood veneer; replacements or repairs are not made due to these variations
  • Caulking of cabinet gaps after the first year - Homeowner maintenance responsibility
  • Defects or cosmetic damage not listed on the Final Walkthrough/Orientation Form

Filing a Claim​

If you believe you have a warranty issue:

  1. Check whether the issue was listed on your Final Walkthrough/Orientation Form
  2. For warping, measure the deviation - coverage applies when warping exceeds 1/4 inch within 24 inches
  3. For separations, measure the gap - coverage applies during the first year when the gap exceeds 1/8 inch
