Performance Standards
Gutter Slope
Standard: Gutters over 3 feet long are installed with a slight slope so that roof water will flow to the downspouts.
Coverage: During the Limited Warranty Period, Classic will repair gutters that are not properly sloped.
Leaks
Standard: Gutters should not leak as a result of installation.
Coverage: During the Limited Warranty Period, Classic will correct leaks that occur as long as the leak is directly related to the installation of the gutter.
Overflow
Standard: Gutters may overflow during periods of excessively heavy rain.
Coverage: This is expected and requires no repair. However, this may be a sign that your gutters are clogged with debris.
Standing Water
Standard: Small amounts of water (up to one inch) will stand for short periods of time in gutters immediately after rain.
Coverage: No correction is required for these conditions.
What's Not Covered
The following are excluded from warranty coverage:
- Overflow during excessively heavy rain - Expected and requires no repair
- Standing water up to one inch - Small amounts standing for short periods after rain require no correction
- Ice build up in gutters and downspouts - Excluded from this Limited Warranty; the Homeowner is responsible for removal of any ice that may build up or accumulate during extended periods of cold
- Ice accumulation on walkways - Ice that forms on walkways as a result of overflow from gutters and downspouts is excluded; since it is the Homeowner's responsibility to remove any ice that may accumulate on the walkway, Classic is not responsible for any incidents that may occur as a result of the Homeowner's failure to remove the ice
Filing a Claim
If you believe you have a warranty issue:
- Confirm the issue is an improper slope or a leak directly related to the installation of the gutter
- Check that gutters are clear of materials or debris (clogged gutters can cause overflows and downspout clogging)
