The foundation of your home has been designed and installed according to the recommendations of an engineer. The walls of the foundation are poured concrete with steel reinforcing rods.

Performance Standards
Cosmetic Imperfections
Standard: Slight cosmetic imperfections in foundation walls, such as a visible seam where two pours meet or slight honeycombing, are possible and require no repair unless they permit water to enter.
Coverage: During the Limited Warranty Period Classic will correct conditions that allow water to enter the basement, provided you have complied with the drainage, landscaping, and maintenance guidelines.
Cracks
Standard: Cracks due to expansion or settlement are common in foundation walls, especially at the corners of basement windows.
Coverage: During the Limited Warranty Period, Classic will repair cracks that exceed 1/8 inch in width.
What's Not Covered
The following are excluded from warranty coverage:
- Cosmetic imperfections that do not permit water entry - Visible pour seams and slight honeycombing require no repair
- Cracks 1/8 inch wide or less - Only cracks that exceed 1/8 inch in width are repaired
- Water entry where guidelines were not followed - Correction of water entry is conditioned on your compliance with the drainage, landscaping, and maintenance guidelines
Filing a Claim
If you believe you have a warranty issue:
- Measure any crack width; cracks must exceed 1/8 inch to qualify for repair
- For water entry, confirm you have complied with the drainage, landscaping, and maintenance guidelines
