Performance Standards
Gutter Slope
Standard: Gutters over 3 feet long are installed with a slight slope so that roof water will flow to the downspouts.
Coverage: During the first year, Classic Homes will repair gutters that are not properly sloped.
Leak-Free Installation
Standard: Gutters should not leak at joints or connections due to installation defects.
Coverage: During the first year, Classic Homes will correct leaks that are directly related to the installation of the gutter.
Standing Water Tolerance
Standard: Small amounts of water (up to one inch) may stand for short periods in gutters immediately after rain.
Note: This is normal and no correction is required.
What's Not Covered
The following are excluded from warranty coverage:
- Overflow during excessive rain - Gutters may overflow during periods of excessive rain; this is expected and may indicate clogged gutters
- Standing water up to 1" - Small amounts standing briefly after rain are normal
- Ice buildup - Ice buildup in gutters and downspouts is excluded from warranty
- Ice on walkways - Ice accumulation on walkways resulting from gutter ice buildup is the homeowner's responsibility
- Clogged gutters - Regular gutter cleaning is a maintenance responsibility
- Damage from debris accumulation - Keeping gutters clear is homeowner responsibility
You are responsible for removing ice that accumulates in gutters and on walkways. Classic Homes is not responsible for any incidents that may occur as a result of failure to remove ice.
