Standard: Garage doors should operate properly without binding or scraping when due to installation.
Coverage Period: 1 year for adjustments due to installation defects
Sensor Function
Standard: Safety sensors should function properly to stop and reverse the door when an obstruction is detected.
Coverage Period: 1 year for adjustments due to installation defects
Garage Door Openers
Standard: Garage door openers installed by Classic Homes are consumer products covered by the manufacturer's warranty.
Note: Classic Homes will not repair damages associated with a door opener that was not installed by Classic Homes during construction.
What's Not Covered
The following are excluded from warranty coverage:
- Garage door openers - Consumer products excluded from Limited Warranty; refer to manufacturer warranty
- Third-party opener installation - Damage from openers not installed by Classic Homes during construction
- Light visible around door - Garage doors cannot be airtight; some light around edges is normal
- Weather entry - Some precipitation entering around the door in weather conditions is normal
- Dust infiltration - Normal, especially until most homes in the community have landscaping
- Door sag - The garage door may sag slightly due to its weight and span
Filing a Claim
If you believe you have a warranty issue:
