Performance Standards​

Operation​

Standard: Shower doors and tub enclosures will function according to manufacturer specifications.

Confirmation: During the New Home Presentation or Welcome Home Orientation, Classic Homes will confirm the condition of all shower doors and tub enclosures.

Adjustments​

Standard: Due to natural movement of the home, shower doors and tub enclosures will require periodic adjustments.

Coverage: As a courtesy, Classic Homes will adjust shower doors and tub enclosures one time during the first year of the limited warranty period.

After First Year: Adjustments become a homeowner maintenance responsibility.

Documentation​

At Orientation: Classic Homes will only repair items listed on the New Home Presentation or Welcome Home Orientation Form.

What's Not Covered​

The following are excluded from warranty coverage:

  • Items not listed on orientation form - Damage must be documented at closing
  • Adjustments after the first year - One courtesy adjustment is provided during Year 1
  • Damage from improper use - Such as hanging wet towels or clothing on door corners (weight can pull door out of alignment)
  • Caulking maintenance - Regular caulking upkeep is homeowner responsibility
  • Wear on seals - Normal wear requiring replacement

Filing a Claim​

If you believe you have a warranty issue:

  1. Review the Use & Care Guide for troubleshooting steps
  2. Check if the issue is:
    • Door sticking: Clean track and rollers of soap buildup
    • Door leaking: Ensure door is properly seated and positioned inside tub/shower
    • Door misaligned: Check if rollers are seated properly in track
