Performance Standards

Installation Quality

Standard: Man-made stone is properly installed without damage at the time of closing.

Verification: During the New Home Presentation or Welcome Home Orientation, Classic Homes will confirm that the man-made stone is properly installed and that there is no damage.

Coverage: Only damage listed on the New Home Presentation or Welcome Home Orientation Form will be repaired.

Crack Repair (Courtesy)

Standard: As a courtesy, Classic Homes will repair masonry cracks that exceed 3/16 inch in width.

Coverage Period: First year of the limited warranty period.

Note: This is a one-time courtesy repair.

Weep Hole Function

Standard: Weep holes in the mortar along the lower row of stone allow moisture to escape from behind the stone.

Important: Do not fill weep holes or allow landscaping materials to cover them.

What's Not Covered

The following are excluded from warranty coverage:

  • Efflorescence - The white, powdery substance that sometimes accumulates on stone surfaces is cosmetic and not a defect in the stone
  • Normal weathering - Expected deterioration over time due to weather exposure
  • Damage not documented at closing - Any damage not listed on the orientation form
  • Blocked weep holes - Damage from filling or covering weep holes is homeowner responsibility
About Efflorescence

Efflorescence is a natural occurrence that can sometimes be removed with soap and water. It may reappear periodically. This is cosmetic and excluded from warranty coverage.
