Depending on your community, fencing may or may not be included with your home. This coverage only applies to fencing installed by Classic Homes as part of your home purchase.
Performance Standards
Orientation Inspection
Standard: If fencing is part of your home purchase, it should be in good condition at the time of the New Home Presentation or Welcome Home Orientation.
Coverage: Classic Homes will repair any fencing item that is listed on the New Home Presentation or Welcome Home Orientation Form.
Fencing Included with Home
Standard: Fencing installed as part of your home purchase should be free of defects at closing.
Documentation: Only items listed on the orientation form will be repaired.
What's Not Covered
The following are excluded from warranty coverage:
- Severe weather damage - Storm and weather damage to fencing should be referred to your homeowner's insurance
- Homeowner-installed fencing - Fencing you install after closing is not covered under any circumstances
- Normal weathering - Natural weathering and aging of fence materials is expected and not a defect
- Drainage issues from fencing - If fencing affects drainage patterns, any resulting damage is not covered
