Manufacturer Warranties

Many of the fixtures and appliances in your home carry a manufacturer's warranty above and beyond the Limited Warranty offered by Classic Homes.

Performance Standards

Orientation Inspection

Standard: Electrical and plumbing fixtures should be installed without defects or damage at the time of the New Home Presentation or Welcome Home Orientation.

Coverage: Only fixtures listed on the New Home Presentation or Welcome Home Orientation Form will be repaired.

Fixture Condition

Standard: Fixtures should be free of manufacturing defects and properly installed at closing.

Protective Coating: The manufacturer typically treats fixtures with a clear protective coating to provide beauty and durability. This coating is not impervious to wear and tear.

What's Not Covered

The following are excluded from warranty coverage:

  • Tarnishing and fading - Like sterling silver, metals will gradually tarnish and take on an antique appearance; this is natural and not covered
  • External corrosion damage - Corrosion on visible surfaces of fixtures
  • Internal corrosion damage - Corrosion affecting internal workings of fixtures
  • Damage from caustic cleaners - Harsh chemicals can crack or peel protective coatings, causing spotting and discoloration
  • Scratches from improper cleaning - Abrasive cleaners and scrubbers can damage fixture finishes
  • Atmospheric and sun damage - Environmental exposure that affects fixture coatings
