Major water leak requiring main water shut-off or sewer backup qualifies as an emergency. Call 719-592-9333 immediately.
Performance Standards
Plumbing System
Standard: All plumbing fixtures should function properly with faucets and drains operating freely.
Leaks: Except where excluded, Classic Homes repairs plumbing leaks during the first 2 years.
Noise: Some pipe noise from temperature changes is normal. Persistent water hammer will be repaired during the first 2 years.
Clogged Drains
First 30 days: Classic Homes will correct clogs.
Exception: If a household item is removed from the drain, you will be billed.
After 30 days: Homeowner responsibility unless caused by installation defect.
Sump Pump (If Applicable)
Standard: If your home includes a sump pump, it should operate as designed to remove water from the foundation area.
Coverage: First year only. The pump is confirmed operational at orientation.
After Year 1: Sump pump maintenance and replacement is homeowner responsibility.
Cosmetic Standards
At Orientation: Classic Homes confirms condition of plumbing fixtures.
Damage Coverage: Only items listed on the orientation form will be repaired.
What's Not Covered
The following are excluded from warranty coverage:
- Frozen pipes - Unless caused by construction defect; keep heat at minimum 62°F when away
- Damage from toilet cleaning agents - Products like Tidy Bowl that stay in the tank can cause premature failure of wax seals and gaskets
- Exterior faucet damage - When hose is left attached in freezing weather or when pressurized hose is left connected
- Secondary water damage - Wallpaper, drapes, personal belongings damaged by water
- Clogs after 30 days - Unless caused by installation defect
- Normal pipe noise - Temperature changes cause expansion/contraction sounds
- Sump pump after Year 1 - Maintenance and replacement is homeowner responsibility
- Extending sump discharge line - Classic Homes installs to exterior; extending is your responsibility
Filing a Claim
If you believe you have a warranty issue:

- For sump pump issues, test by pouring 5 gallons of water into the crock
- Document the issue:
- Location of leak or problem
- When it started
- Photos if applicable
- Request Service
